President Obama signed an Executive Order Saturday lifting sanctions against Iran, part of the nuclear deal agreed to last summer. The US and Iran also swapped a dozen prisoners, and the US will repay an outstanding debt with interest (about $1.7 billion).
Iran is now free to ramp up oil production, which is bad news for American oil drillers and producers–and the banks that loaned them money.
