Hello everyone, I am Leonna Abraham Brandao, Host for Blog Talk Radio/ Shedding Light.

I want to welcome back our Guest, Donna Winant, Founder of "Families, Friends and Individuals for Mentally Ill", as well as other advocates, with a passion for prison reform and mainly in areas of  Mental Health Treatment. Donna, a passionate advocate and others are back to speak on the core of her advocacy work and her expectations for full success, including a need for Supportive Housing Projects, for individuals released and/or soon to be released, and in need of Assisted Living, and other forms of Aftercare Resources.

There is an epidemic in America, of Mental Illinesses and Addictions which are long-overdue for a Resolution. It does take a Village to resolve these severe issues and Donna and her Team are amongst many, to ensure it happens. This matter is such a hot topic as it pertains to so many fallen individuals, now behind prison walls, rather than in Long-Term Residential Treatment Programs. Therefore, we have extended the Show to become that Village and welcome anyone who wishes to be a part of that Village, to ensure the success of the rehabilitation of the mentally ill.

The U.S. is the ONLY COUNTRY in the World, with mass Incarceration and it needs to end. Individuals with Mental Health issues need Long-Term Residential Treatment Facilities, not Prisons. So, Let's welcome our guests.
