Hello everyone, I am Leonna Abraham Brandao, Host for Blog Talk Radio/ Shedding Light. I am here today, with Co-Hosts, to discuss  the injustices that occur both in the prisons and in the communities. We are living at a time when the hearts of many have grown cold. People we are taught to look up to and seek when there is a crisis. Not to be judged, unheard and harmed.

We have a Special Guest, Monique Wallace, who will be sharing her painful experience as a mother who lost her daughter several years ago, to a senseless shooting by a police officer, leaving small children to go on without their mother. Monique will be sharing the painful ordeal she continues to endure, years after loosing her daughter and where she goes from here. But I also want to introduce another Special Guest, Holly Alston, a mother who lost her son to suicide following a bad experience with the penal system. Holly's pain still exists and she also needs to share her story. We will be having a series with both Mothers, who have lost their precious gifts to unecessary deaths. So, Let's welcome our Guests.
