Catch the last days of winter at Fireside Sleigh Rides in North Conway, New Hampshire. Joining host Robin Milling are owners Jason and Heather Blakeney; brother and sister equestrian experts who took their love and expertise with horses hitching them to a romantic sleigh ride through snowy trails along the Saco River. Homeschooled, Jason tells Robin they would do their homework on horseback and both have degrees in equestrian studies so starting a business together where horses were involved was a natural progression.

Arrive at a quaint log cabin office where hot apple Cider and hot chocolate awaits to take along on the ride. Jason takes out the sleigh led by Percherons named Freckles and Pretty Face with Freckles' foal in training leading the way or taking a break to nurse! Unnamed at the time, Jason jokes that patrons were all giving their ideas based on his shiny black coat such as Darth Vader for starters. They went with Pecos (like the river that flows through New Mexico and Texas).

There is the private sleigh ride with room for four but two is always better for the full coziness of snuggling under warm wool blankets. Or if you want a party 'Big Red,' the Bob Sled can accommodate 10 adults and eight children. Both rides end up at a fire pit complete with sticks and marshmallows ready for toasting. Or bring your own chocolate and graham crackers and you can make S'mores.

If you miss the snow, trail and wagon rides are available during the summer at their farm in Brownfield, Maine.
