The Money Nerve with Bob Wheeler

The Debt Free Guys: David Auten & John Schneider

About David: David was born in Germany and raised in Denver, CO. He started a career in financial services even before graduating college. Over the course of his professional career, David has worked in mutual fund, retail and advisory investing and with stock trading and 401(k) plans. David has a degree in International Business. He is now a personal finance author and blogger with over eighteen years of experience in financial services. Having done his best to avoid his own professional advice, David was a financial mess by the time he met John.

About John: Originally raised a Philadelphian, John moved to landlocked Denver in 1999 for the snowboarding where his problems with debt started. Ironically, he got into financial services when he decided to get a “real job”. John has, too, worked in both retail and advisory investing. John holds an MBA and Series 7, 63, 9, 10, 66 and 24 licenses. All the while he helped others with their finances. Breaking the rule that opposites attract, John met David, who was on similar financial and career paths. John has now been in financial services for fifteen years.

As life-partners, we are now debt free. As business partners, we are The Debt Free Guys. We now combine our personal and professional experiences with money to help others be debt free, have fun and be money conscious through our blog, coaching, speaking, social media and books. We have published three eBooks in the #MoneyConscious Series and a fourth, hard copy book called: The Four Principles of a Debt Free Life. Our fifth eBook will be published in the fall of 2015.
