THE SEARCHER'S ROAD MAP

Henna Hundal is a high school junior from Turlock, California on a mission to empower the new generation to lead active, healthy lives. She has written numerous health/wellness/science articles for a variety of print and online publications, and she has a "Health with Henna" segment on Express Yourself! Teen Radio -- the #1 most listened-to program on the VoiceAmerica Kids Network. Henna sees the cruciality of young people getting off on the right foot by making healthy lifestyle choices, and she wants to ensure that today's teenagers are fully equipped with this knowledge.

As a strong advocate for health/fitness/wellness, I have already channeled my passion into a variety of different avenues. I'm part of a Community Health Education Team that travels to various counties’ fairs to speak to the public about the value of a healthy lifestyle. I have published 75+ primarily health/wellness/science articles for my column in a local newspaper, The Turlock Journal; in another local newspaper, The Modesto Bee; in yet another newspaper, The Lamorinda Weekly; in letters to the editors of various publications; in the online version of Teen Ink Magazine, for which I’ve won two Editor’s Choice Awards; in Contentment Health Magazine; on the Huffington Post; on Yahoo! Voices; and in SparkLife. I have also won the UC Davis COSMOS Tina Rose Noto Award for my commitment to improving pediatric healthcare. I now have a “Health with Henna” segment on Express Yourself! Teen Radio, the #1 most listened-to program on the VoiceAmerica Kids Network. In my free time, I am a dedicated bicyclist, a yoga-lover, and a Zumba enthusiast.
