Rebecca Lynne aka “R-Lyn” is not afraid. The Boston born R&B singer and songwriter reflects on her life and everything in between through her music. It’s the honesty in her lyrics that create a sound and vibe that are undeniable.
Her musical influences include Aaliyah, Beyonce, Mariah Carey, Etta James, Amy Winehouse, and Jazmine Sullivan. Rebecca began dancing when she was 3 years old. With her singing and dancing skills, she participated and won several talent shows throughout high school and throughout the state of Massachusetts. She sang the national anthem all across Massachusetts, venues including local high schools, UMass Lowell, UMass Amherst, Harvard, and TD Garden.
Beginning in the summer of 2016, Rebecca really dug into her talents. She began driving back and forth from Philly to Boston almost every weekend to record her original songs. After creating a buzz from the short catalog she had created in a few months, R-Lyn was chosen by Philadelphia’s AMP 96.5 Radio as one of the best local artists in Philadelphia. She is performing heavily in Philadelphia, including opening up for mainstream acts such as Tory Lanez, Ginuwine, Mya and Ashanti. She is currently working on her debut album, “She’s not Afraid”, which is guaranteed to make an impact and resonate with all genres based on her unique voice, style and stories.
