Daughters of Yishra'Al: How to pray effectively?

"The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much," James 5:16.  When Yaakov / James wrote this, what did he mean by prayer being effectual and fervent.  Do we pray in this manner?  In Judaism, there is a prayer that says, 'May our prayer come to you in an opportune time..." What is an opportune prayer for our prayers to come before the Father?  

We will look at three areas where we can make our prayers more effective.  Remember that prayer is a weapon, and we must learn to become skillful in weilding this weapon.
