Something I've come up against as I continue to use this show as a vehicle to showcase Christian authors is that some people tell me I'm taking it too far.  "Why do you only have Christian authors on the show?" or  "You can have other authors on the show besides just Christian authors." I have had family members roll their eyes because I choose to write and stay in the realm of Christian fiction. It doesn't matter that ocassionally I have non-Christians on the show in different capacities. It doesn't matter that some Christians would never read my work because they maybe uncomfortable with the subject matter or that some unbelievers may never pick up a copy of my books.

One thing I've thought about in the past three years I've been doing this show is this: is this a veneer of holiness I am wearing? Am I using this show to project an image of holiness while behind the scenes I'm raising hell? It's a valid and sobering question because people can use the works they do to appear godly and holy. Over the years, this has made it's way into the church were the appearance of holiness replaces the command of Jesus to be holy in truth. For real.

Join me as we discuss the book Grace is Free: One Woman's Journey from Fundamentalism to Failure to Faith by author Marci Preheim as we talk about the appearance of holiness vs the true calling of holiness.
