The Significance of the Jewish New Year Festival, the Rosh Hashanah!

This year, the Jewish New Year Festival, for the year 2018 began on Sunday evening of September 9 and ended in the evening of Tuesday, September 11. The name Rosh Hashanah is pretty much self-explanatory, since "Rosh," is the Hebrew word for "head,"  "Ha," a difinite article means "the" and "Shanah," meaning the "Year."   So, all together, it means the beginning of the New Year! It is marked by the blowing of the Shofar, and beginning the ten days of the repentance, culminating to the start of the most important holiday in the Jewish faith, the Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement!

During this time of repentance, they claim God's promise given to them, in Isaiah 1:18.

"Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool."

Yom Kippur then marks the culmination of the 10 days of introspection, prayer, and repentance which  started at the beginning of Rosh Hashanah, the New Year!

Sadly, today, our Jewish friends are keeping a Yom Kippur without the Kippur! For the past two thousand years they have kept a Day Atonement without the Atonement ( with No Atonement)!

I will be explaining the details of this phenomenon in my today's radio program which starts Wednesday, September 12, 2018, from 11:00/A.M. to 1:00/P.M. MDT.

You Can Always Call-in, by dialing 1 (646) 668-2284 and ask questions.
