God Is More Interested in Our Availability than Our Ability!
2 Corinthians 12:7-10 KJV.
12:7 And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure. 12:8 For this thing Ibesought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. 12:9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladlytherefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 12:10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong." 2 Corinthians 12:7-10
Reading the above verses reminds of me of the saying "Unless God bruises you, He cannot use you!"
It seems this saying well matches the Apostle Paul situation before he was chosen by the Lord Jesus. Before the Lord can use us, He has to remove all the pride and the dependency of our old nature, even if He has to break us. It seems only after He bruise us, then He can use us! "For many are called, but few are chosen." Matthew 22:14. KJV.
