The program features our regular PANW report with dispatches on the ongoing mass demonstrations and rebellion in Charlotte, North Carolina in response to the police killing of Keith Scott; the Zimbabwe government press has called for the lifting of United States sanctions amid the United Nations General Assembly 71st session in which President Mugabe is in attendance; the Ethiopian government has said the South Sudan opposition leader and former Vice President Reik Machar will not be able to spend much more time inside the country in the absence of a political agreement with Juba; and a declaration was issued calling for an end to violence in Libya by numerous international states. In the seond and third hours we continue our monthlong commemoration of the literay contributions of African people with focuses on the life and times of Zora Neale Hurston as well as an address by James Baldwin delivered to the National Press Club in December 1986.
