Listen to this broadcast of the Pan-African Journal hosted by Abayomi Azikiwe, editor of the Pan-African News Wire. In this program we will have our regular PANW reports looking at the recent shootings in Paris and the conditions of Africans in France. In the second hour we examine the "Selma" film depicting the Voting Rights Campaign of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and the Southern Christian Leadership Conference in 1965. The final hour presents Malcolm X discussing the African American Freedom Struggle in early 1965. Malcolm X visited Selma on Feb. 4, 1965 just two weeks before his assassination. Two weeks after his assassination on Feb. 21, the first Selma to Montgomery March was attempted on March 7, resulting in "Bloody Sunday."
