The National Association of Black Women In Construction will come together with Lockheed Martin in collaboration with the TransTech Academy Partners Consortium for the Fourth Annual Industry Day Event at Cardoza High School, 2501 -11th Street, NW, Washington, DC 20001! Industry Day provides a platform for industry professionals to share with students the opportunities available in various career fields of transportation, aviation, construction, engineering and technology.

On Today's Show, Ann McNeill and other invited members-panelists from the NABWIC will discuss the impactfulness of TransTech Academy's 2012 Industry Day Event that will be held May 23, 2013, from 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

The specific objectives of Industry Day are:

  1. To give students exposure to role models and possible careers they can consider as well as offering new career choices.
  2. To show the connection between school and real life; how presenters used their education to achieve their goals.
  3. To emphasize careers in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) and other areas of transportation, aviation, construction and engineering.
  4. To provide students an opportunity to interact with professionals.
