A little about Our Guest...

Joe “Mack,” McElroy, born May 6, 1976, grew up in the tiny river-valley town of Darnelle, Arkansas.  As a child, hip hop music and culture seemed to flow through his veins.  Though it was not widely accepted in a “mostly white,” rural setting, Joe found a deep love for it.  Whether it was breakdancing in the school yard at recess, or reciting every rhyme from every cassette tape he could get his hands on, Joe loved hip hop.

As he grew up, failing at college, and returning to his parents home, which had migrated to Southeast Texas, Joe’s life changed, but his love for the art and culture of hip hop never died.   Joe Mack and hip hop were meant to be together.

Though Joe loved rap music, he found himself with a young family, and needed to make a steady living.

After going through a “Citizen’s Police Academy,” class, Joe decided that he would pursue a career in Law Enforcement.   Joe completed the actual Police Academy just weeks after his 21st Birthday, and was soon out on patrol in Southeast Texas.
