They will not distance themselves from the bleeding, bloody, savage fruits of their pseudo-intellectual labor.

With Maya Angelou. It is interesting that we're stuck on these repsectability politics. 

We can only talk about her winning grammy's and tony awards. We can not talk about her history as a sex worker. The problem is our own fearfulness because she had no problem discussing her past, so it makes no sense for us to not discuss it.
