Happy New Year and decade, thank you for being a listener of Moving Forward With Minister Brigitte, as we begin a new season.  In the times we face with, all the "isms" of this world; if we want to make our world a better place we need to love.  Songwriters, Burt F. Bacharach / Hal David wrote a song in the sixties that we need today, called: What The World Needs Now is Love.  In this new year I pray for love to abide in our lives.  In our lesson today we will be studying, “The Trial of Jesus,” which would be a docudrama in today’s world. No one would mention, who He was or that He was ready to sacrifice His life for us.  Just imagine if He lived in our YouTube world, loved and admired one week and treated like a rock star.  People laying down their garments in the streets screaming and crying Hosanna and of course posting pictures on Instagram. But when His star falls, due to folks lying, bribes (30 pieces of silver) being paid and the politically powerful wanting, him dead. These self same "fair weather" followers turned on Him. Instead of the cry being Hosanna, it becomes crucify him and release Barabbus (a known criminal.) They forgot about the love The Savior had shown them, healing the sick, sight to the blind, feeding the hungry and many more miracles. Let us remember, “Love will Trump Hate,” every time.  Let us never forget what Jesus said in Matthew 22:37-40 “Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it:  ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets. Peace, Love and Joy, Minister Brigitte
