“So says Jehovah of host; Set your heart on your ways...”

We will be coming this morning from Haggai 1:1-2:23, where God speaks through His prophets for the restoration of His temple. We will also be coming from Zechariah 1:1-6:15. 

“Thus speaks the Lord of hosts, saying: ‘This people says, “The time has not come, the time that the Lord’s house should be built.” ’ ” Then the word of the Lord  came by Haggai the prophet, saying, “ Is it  time for you yourselves to dwell in your paneled houses, and this temple to lie in ruins?” “You have sown much, and bring in little; You eat, but do not have enough; You drink, but you are not filled with drink; You clothe yourselves, but no one is warm; And he who earns wages, Earns wages to put into a bag with holes.” Thus says the Lord of hosts: “Consider your ways! Haggai 1:2-4,6-7 - NKJV 

In the eighth month of the second year of Darius, the word of the Lord came to Zechariah the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet, saying, “The Lord has been very angry with your fathers. Therefore say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts: “Return to Me,” says the Lord of hosts, “and I will return to you,” says the Lord of hosts. “Do not be like your fathers, to whom the former prophets preached, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts: “Turn now from your evil ways and your evil deeds.”’ But they did not hear nor heed Me,” says the Lord .
