My mother used to say, "a dog that brings a bone, carries a bone."  In other words that, "so called," friend who has a, "I heard," for you and that, _____, said _____, about you, or betrays your confidence is a gossip according to the word of the Lord.  So you should avoid them.

19 A gossip betrays a confidence;
    so avoid anyone who talks too much.
