Dr. Michele Meek is a writer, filmmaker, and Assistant Professor in Communication Studies at Bridgewater State University. Dr. Meek recently edited the compilation Independent Female Filmmakers: A Chronicle through Interviews, Profiles, and Manifestos published by Routledge. The book includes interviews with and essays by legendary female filmmakers including Martha Coolidge, Cheryl Dunye, and Trinh Minh-ha, among others.
