Book Discussion welcomes author Cym Lowell.
In JASPAR'S WAR (Rosemary Beach Press; April 2014; $12.99), author Cym Lowell takes readers on a thrill ride to the most unexpected and dangerous of locales to uncover secrets that could bring down the U.S. government.
This is more than just about another book getting published. It's also about giving back, inspiring others and providing a bridge to healing for those wounded warriors who have put their lives on the line for the freedoms we all enjoy. As Lowell was completing Jaspar's War, he heard about Soldiers' Angels, a nonprofit organization with thousands of volunteers who provide aid and comfort to the men and women of the armed forces, veterans and their families. He was told there is a waiting list of approximately 200 wounded warriors, who, because of injuries sustained in fighting for our country, are in need of voice-activated laptops. That's all he needed to know.
100 percent of any proceeds from the sale of his book will go directly to Soldiers' Angels. His initiative is called: OPERATION: NEXT CHAPTER. As a Vietnam vet, Lowell knows all too well the results of what war injuries can do to the human spirit.
