At 18 parents are no longer legally required to care for their children. In AFRICAN-AMERICAN communities 18-20 years of age still seems to be the magic number for LEAVING HOME, whereas other races and cultures tend to allow their children to remain home much longer.  Although in NEW YORK CITY, it isn't uncommon for some Africa-American families to allow their ADULT CHILDREN to remain home, and in some cases indefinitely due the exorbitant cost of living.  Generally speaking, IS TODAY'S GENERATION PREPARED TO LIVE OWN THEIR OWN AT 18?  Is it smarter to allow them to stay home and save some money before venturing out; or does this approach stunt their EMOTIONAL MATURITYMENTAL DIALOGUE asking the questions America's afraid to ask.  ALL I ASK IS THAT YOU THINK
