Probably one of the most known cases in media history of a family fighting to protect their daughter is the case of Terri Schiavo, Bobby Schindler is Terri's brother and knows her story very well. .
On February 25, 1990 Terri Schiavo, only 26 years old was found unconscious by her husband in their home. She was taken to the hospital and it was determined she had a cardiac arrest and had massive brain damage. In 1998 her husband petitioned the courts to remove her feeding tube which was in conflict from what her parent’s wishes were. The battle continued with multiple court cases on who had the right to make decisions. Terri passed on March 31, 2005.
