Join Lawrence Lucas, LLoyd Wright an Waymon Hinson as they recap the the events, conversations and meetings that have transpired over the last few months regarding the Black Farmers and their battle with the USDA. The USDA, long known for its discriminatory efforts against minority farmers, continues to discriminate and refuses to correct its actions. Civil rights violations, land loss and irrepayable debt are just a few of the concerns of Black and other minority farmers.
Lawrence Lucas
Mr. Lucas was the former President of the USDA Coalition of Minority Employees, beginning in 1994. His career as a government employee began as a political appointee during the Carter Administration. He retired after 32 years of service.

Waymon Hinson
Has earned degrees in theology and psychology is licensed as a psychologist and marriage and family therapist in Texas. His history with the Black farmer cause extends back to 1994 when he began to consult with farmers and their legal counsel. Mr. Hinson will also be discussing the release of the new documentary on Black farmers.
