Andy Cahan, former member of the hit band, The Turtles, was born in Brookyln, New York in 1947. In his formative years, Andy was introduced to the sounds of classical music and The Beatles, eventually leading him to hone his skills in piano, drums, guitar, and crafting songs. His first gig was with a surf band called the Jaguars, in 1964. This was primarily an instrumental band, with Andy taking up the Thomas organ. Soon after, he was a young 20 year old on a fast track to the most fantastic life, moving from New York to L.A., mixing with the worlds finest talent, while playing and crafting hits. Between hard work and incredible synchronicity, Andy Cahan found himself among luminaries such as Jimi Hendrix, Ringo Starr, Frank Zappa, The Turtles, Dr. John The Night Tripper and Seals and Croft to name a few. Some of Andy’s more memorable experiences include being the music director for The Grammy’s and American Bandstand, showcasing Little Richard and Chuck Berry. A highlight was working on the cartoon soundtrack with Ray Bolger, and television commercials with Walter Matthau and Jack Lemmon! Andy is currently on speaking and performing tours, while finishing his book, featuring his life’s work and memorabilia, titled, “The Most Famous Musician You Never Heard Of.” Ten percent of the sales of book and Bedtime Stories Series goes to the organization, National End Handguns Violence. ? ?Andy has successfully raised money assisting the hurricane victims in Puerto Rico and the Parkland School Shooting victims.
