The second reading from the book of Numbers and the thirty-fifth reading from the Torah is called Nasso (נשא), a word that literally means “lift up.

Messiah is our redeemer. He has redeemed us from slavery, from sin, from condemnation and from death.

The blood avenger himself shall put the murderer to death; he shall put him to death when he meets him. Num 35:19

Messiah is the redeemer of Israel. In the Bible, the job of a kinsmen redeemer includes taking blood vengeance.
