My guest for 07/23/14 is Jake Ducey.

In college on a basketball scholarship and headed for a sports career, at 19 Jake Ducey, a kid from a good Southern California family, seemed to have it all. But he didn’t. Jake felt something was missing so he decided to leave it all behind and use his savings to travel the world. What he ended up finding was that what he was looking for was inside him all the time, that our destiny is reached only if we look inside of ourselves first.

Upon returning from his spiritual adventure, Jake raised the funds to build a school and home in San Marcos, near Lake Atitlan in Guatemala, to support orphans who are taken care of by a Quiché Maya Shaman.

Now 23 years old, Jake is the author of a book titled Into the Wind, speaks throughout the country on consciously and responsibly creating our lives, and has written a new book, The Purpose Principles, which will be available in early 2015.
