A Place Called Home with Filmmaker Sherry Kelly on Tamara Leigh's TREND ON

What would you do if your son or daughter came to you, looking for support, struggling with their sexuality, and needing home to be a safe place. What happens when home isn't that place or if you're the teen who feels they have no place to turn except to the streets?

Did you know that each day 1 homeless LGBT youth dies on the street every 4 hours.  6 died today. Let's put politics aside and be compassionate about people.

#yeswecan with filmmaker Sherry Kelly who joins us on Tamara Leigh's TREND ON to talk about her film "Home Isn't Always Where the Heart Is". The film is a mini-documentary that provides a factual look at the harsh reality of LGBTQ youth and a prelude to our feature film, A Place Called Home, a fictional account of an all-American girl who struggles to accept her sexuality and ends up fighting for her life.  You can also get involved in their ThunderClap & GoFundMe campaigns to help homeless LGBT youth.
