Mike Boehler and Michele Rempel interviewed Deborah Ford. 

Deborah Ford has had a long career in the financial services industry with regional and local institutions including Harris Bank, here in Chicago.  She has served in several capacities from managing a three state electronic operations department ultimately ending up as a sales director working in multiple markets including Healthcare, Non-Profit and Institutional markets as well as commercial markets. 

Deb is also a small business advisor working with start-ups.  The other side of her interest is working with several on-profit organizations and serving on various boards. 

She worked at the American Red Cross Greater Chicago in Business Development.

She served on the advisory board of Chicago Community Ventures and was twice a judge for the Chicago City Treasurer’s Business Plan contest for new businesses.

She was the 2009 Membership Chair of the National Association of Women Business Owners, and served as a fund raiser for the YWCA Metropolitan Chicago Circle of Friends 2007-2009, a charter member of the Professional Women’s Club of Chicago. 

She is currently on the Board of Directors for Beacon Therapeutic Diagnostic and Treatment Center serving homeless children in Illinois. 

Deb is also the Board President for Habitat for Humanity of Illinois. Ms. Ford is a consummate networker and believes in connecting people to help each other.
