Thier mission is to honor and thank those veterans - especially now our WWII veterans by bringing them to Washington DC, at no cost to them, for a day of honor. Link Locally, Connect Globally Bio: Lieutenant Colonel (Ret.) Dan Bogojevich was born in Osnubruck Germany in 1946. He immigrated to the U.S. in 1950. After graduating from Lane Tech in Chicago, Dan joined the Illinois National Guard as an enlisted man in the Signal Corps. During his 23 years of military service, he commanded at all ranks up to Lieutenant Colonel. He operated in Airborne, Armor, Mechanized Infantry, Special Operations, and Multinational forces throughout the world to include Germany, Central America, Warsaw Pact Nations, and the Balkans. Ten years after retirement Dan was recalled to active service in 1997. He was deployed to war torn Bosnia as member of the Multinational Peacekeeping Force,Task Force Eagle). He also served as advisory council to Secretary of State Madeline Albright. Upon his return to civilian life he continues to have a successful Real Estate business with his wife Alisa. Dan has most recently been appointed to the Board of Directors of Honor Flight Chicago, which strives to bring WWII and Korean Veterans to see their memorials in Washington, DC.
