Rev. Dr.  Pinkney, Pastor of Agape Baptist Church has alot to say.

You definitely do not want to miss this one, for sure.

The Rev. Dr. Mattie Pinkney is the organizing pastor of Agape Ministries/Agape Baptist Church and the Executive Director of Agape Community Outreach Services, which was established under her leadership as a separate 501 [c] (3) community outreach arm of the Agape Church.

Agape is nestled in the Mt. Airy/Wadsworth section of the City of Philadelphia, where Pastor Pinkney has lived (in the same house) until 2005, for over thirty-four years.  As a new church plant, Agape was organized in 1992, under the denominational umbrella of American Baptist Churches and in the year 2000, the church dually aligned with National Baptist Convention. On April 13, 2011, Agape celebrated twenty-one years of community worship, ministry and outreach. On March 23, 2011, Pastor Pinkney will celebrate thirty-one years in the preaching and teaching ministries.

Before answering the call to organize this new church ministry, Pastor Pinkney served three other local congregations for a period of more than thirteen years, in such capacities as:  Youth Minister, Christian Education Director, Young Adult Supervisor, Assistant Pastor and Senior Associate. Pastor Pinkney also served as Church Coordinator for the Honorable W. Wilson Goode, Mayor of the City of Philadelphia. She answered the call and was licensed to preach the gospel in 1980, at the Beloved St. John Baptist Church under the pastorate of the Rev. Matt Yance Jr. She was ordained to the Gospel Ministry in 1985, at the Second Timothy Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. Lewis Graham.
