The Eleventh Step!

The eleventh step in A.A. reads that we "sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God, as we understood Him, praying only for knowledge of His will for us and the power to carry that out".

Spirit, God, Him, Her, source - it matters not what label we put on our Higher Power, it matters that we have a conscious relationship with Spirit. It matters that we gain clarity around what is our best path, our highest, purpose as well as the exact nature of the power we have been given and how to use it.

How do we have conscious contact with Divine Intelligence? How do we discern what is truly our highest calling? What are these "powers" we inherently have?
