We make sure our cars are running, that our bank balances are what we expect them to be and we certainly watch any investments that we have to see if they are prospering - performing as expected. Most of us lock up our homes, apartments and other valuables. We do our best to know that our children and pets are safe. We guard what is important to us.
None-the-less, what other investments are we paying close attention to?
Are we investing in rage, frustration and self-pity? Are we married to our misery and deeply invested in the temporary attention it garners us? Are we invested in our relationship with our friends, our children, families (or families of choice)? Are we guarding those investments?
Do we invest in conversations with the Higher Power of our understanding?
