TONIGHT JOIN J CRIPPS AND CO-HOST RENEGADE SMITH AS THEY KICK OFF THE NEW SHOW, TRUE STORY LIVE.  Showtime starts at 9 p.m. ET, 6:00 PT.  Listen live over the internet, or listen live over your phone by dialing 319-527-6092.  All callers are welcome PRESS THE NUMBER "1" to join the show live.  Greetings, I am J Cripps.  The purpose of "True Story Live" is to find the truth, if we can, in every topic we discuss.  We have heard stories from before we had ever learned to read and it is the fabric of our lives, stories.  When we know a story is a fiction we do not need to worry about it being true.  We can thoroughly enjoy a good book, movie, a television show, knowing the characters are fictional and their story is the product of a creative mind producing a story for our amusement.  However, if someone claims that the story they are telling us is true, we want to be able to believe them but often times...we find we have been lied to.  When news channels, media, government, public institution of learning and all the people we should be able to believe get caught lying, we just might get angry enough to demand the truth.  Though we may not all agree on certain topics being true or fiction, one thing is certain, we do want the truth at the bottom of it all.  I want to introduce compelling topics and open a dialogue to find what we can agree is truth and what is not.  Where we do not agree, we still part as friends and we live for another chance to find common ground under a banner of truth when that is what we expect.  Tonight is the first show.  Let's get to know one another, talk a little.  Tell me a true story and I will tell mine. .
