Business ownership, why is it something that people run away from?

People have so many skills and abilities but never use them. They can cook, they can build, they can fix, they can organize, etc. People are good with numbers, memorization, presentation. People are good at sales, working with people. But why do people make the decision to never get paid on their own skills? Why do people shy away from doing things they enjoy and could get paid from it and get all the money? Going to discuss this by reading excerpts of articles written by myself.
