 Jesus Christ rose very early in the morning, a great while before day, to pray.

      Mark 1:35 Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.

   This was apparently partly so He could have solitude for communion with God and partly as a preparation for the day's work.
