About Us

The genesis of LowRush Music was birthed by my uncle, Sonny Carter, out of Detroit, Michigan. However, what Sonny did not know, was how long it would take for this dream to manifest. Hence, God clearly had a plan for LowRush Music. In 1984, the name LowRush came about from both my father and mother’s surnames- Lowery and Rushton. Ergo, the Gospel industry would be taken by surprise and some secular artists would never be the same.
