Jesus Christ is depicted through various figures, metaphors, and titles. One is the "Lion of Judah," evoking imagery of majesty, power, and authority. Rev. 5:5 (NIV), says, "Then one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep! See, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed. He can open the scroll and its seven seals.”

The Lion Tells His Tale is an African Proverb that says, "Until the lion tells his tale, the hunt will always glorify the hunter." Essentially, he who holds the pen controls the narrative. How do we make room for diverse voices to be heard in the story of American History?  Who will tell the "Unspoken Truths" of the African American experience?  These questions are explored in the world premiere play, "The Lion Tells His Tale."

Join us Tuesday, July 23, at 3:30 PM (PT), with special studio guest, Vida Oliphant-Sneed, playwright of the play "The Lion Tells His Tale" which debuted in Seattle, Washington, on May 1-5, 2024. We will learn about her journey and why she wrote the play. Mrs. Sneed is a wife, mother, grandmother, and educator. She is a Teaching Leader within the Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) international Bible study program. You may speak with the host by calling (319) 527-6720.
