After Gumbo for the Soul: Men of Honor comes the question, Where were you daddy and why weren't you there?
Joining Rachel Berry and guest host, Joey Pinkney, we have renown documentarian, activist, Janks Morton stopping by to shed light on life. His current documentary, "Dear Daddy" is a feature length documentary about the life long effects of fatherlessness on women. The film follows the dramatic journeys of eight young women from the tough city streets of Washington,DC as they struggle to overcome poverty, poor educational systems, no healthcare, and the most difficult life circumstance they have been dealt… the absence of their fathers.
This conversation is a must have following the release of "Gumbo for the Soul: Men of Honor" if we are to be objective about the role men play in our lives. Also joining the show back again will be Pearl Jr., formally celebrating the drop of Men of Honor, to discuss "Black Women Need Love Too"
People, ain't nobody playin'! We bring real mind food for the soul!
This episode is brought to you by "The Evolution of Brilliance - Voices Celebrating the Importance of Women by Dr. Raye Mitchell, who will be visiting the show next month, as one of our featured guest.
