HOW FAR THE JOURNEY

Can we imagine a world in which mankind is no longer acting on values and priniciples?  The despot manipulates to further his cause, regardless of the down side, breaking a few eggs to make a cake, is how we dismissively think it. Expect it is exploitive. Not that we have difficulty with that, until we personally experience our own vulnerability being exploited.  Or until it spreads to the extend it conflicts with our values. This is a rather extreme way of introducing the concept of inclination. Some inclinations seem obviously easier to display than others. Our conversations pivot on power to implement whatever we can tolerate. If you told me concepts can kill, I would argue they are rational explanations for irrational acts. But what would I say about the Craft?  Would we think without our beliefs is a sense that our concepts need no analysis or to be operationalized? Brethren in far and distant places may agree with our commonalities, but that does not change lived experience.  For example, how have they operationalized concepts of Wisdom, Strength and Beauty when we have not?  Are we thinking back to earlier times; to hold a thought is to be guilty of the crime? When we are accused an angry reaction is understandable.  Anger like that can make a wrongly accused person appear guilty. I read somewhere, about a perfect inclination of mind. I know we haven't shared our thoughts about what that means, but we do know it is an idea that has a bearing on our thinking and actions. But its only a concept and we are good to ignore them. So please, help me. What do we need to make 'masonic' concepts influential?  How do we change ideas into life choices for men without the inclination to understand? Today, fraternal bodies around the world are facing the same question as memberships dissappear. If we are to become a lost generation, a least let it be by an act of commission and not feigning ommision.
