Living in fear, anxious, experiencing life as navigation of dangers and threat- bleak, unhappy and resigned. Hunger and poverty make us struggle to survive. Excessive wealth is touted as success , a success against that struggle. Excessive wealth feeds on the need for millions of people to live in poverty, to exchange their portion unwillingly, to give to those in advantaged positions, more of their portion needed to survive. The tolerance for this is one of the significant conceits of civilization.
Try as we might masonry will eventually come to this realization- that the system of capitalism is anathematic to the values of masonry. So I ask you, is masonry a guiding influence or a mirror?
