Expectations. Achieveable, defining. Relevant. 

We need to talk about a process that has permiated freemasonry generation to generation.  Capacity to deliver does not match expectations.  There are solutions to what ails us. We could use those solutions as prototypes but we don't. We cannot get to that point. Our objectives are clear. We cannot commit to a plan until we work out how best to achieve the goals.  Without question, enriched conversation does take place and plans are drafted.  Unfortunately, this has grown in an age of communication to become a significant barrier between architect and craftsman. 

This is not an indictment about personal commitment. It is a statement about irrelevence.  By clinging to outdated process, we have lost a great deal. We then allow confusion to grow by wrongly thinking process is content. Changing a process has nothing to do with the preservation of essential and defining content. The Antient Charges and landmarks are good examples. The tendency when we don't clearly understand is to presume that what threatens the status quo/comfort zone, especially if it is a fabrication of the mind (opinion) unsupported by facts.  We find evidence of this when we discover leaders with the unpleasant mixtures of bad humour, rigidity and conviction trying to control the outcome. 

Diplomacy and good will based on comprehensive education will take us the next step. Talk alone is duplicitous if we do not act accordingly. It is daunting to think the mirror of history operates in high definition but we are not there yet. We can't deliver on the promise of discovery but we are working
