Masonic Home Companion has been to England and Scotland doing research while enjoying the view.

We are back and ready to share impressions from the International Conference on the History of Freemasonry (ICHF).  The study of freemasonry owes a great deal to the work of Ars Quaturo Coronati, the Cannonbury Conference, Sheffield University Department of Studies in Freemasonry.

If we were to adapt a strict approach to information about the Craft, we would become very uncomfortable. By this I mean, we may enjoy the idea of an oral tradition, but that has been replaced.  Mankind has always sought ways to communicate beyond the limit of eye contact with a single person.

Our forefathers left pictures, symbols and ideas carved into and onto surfaces that we can still experience to this day.

So lets accelerate our conversation to 2013. Brethren, I look forward to sitting down with you at Masonic Home Companion.
