Islamic Slavery - The Cross and the Crescent Discussion Group.

Tomorrow we will explore the issue of slavery as it relates to Islam and the Trans-Atlantic Slave trade.  We are going to compare and contrast the two while reviewing some of the Islamic literature discussing slavery.

Does Islam forbid slavery?  Didn’t Muhammad, after all free slaves thus establishing a pattern of conduct to follow?  Or, is there more to this story?

Tomorrow we will drill down on the facts of this horrific practice.
