Slavery in Islam?  The Cross and the Crescent Discussion Group.

Are there differences in slavery in Islam, the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade and the “slavery” in the Bible?  Yes there is and we are going to explore these differences during the show on Tuesday.

Islamic slavery spanned almost 1400 years and was only recently prohibited.  Why did it take the Islamic slave trade to end over 150 years after the Trans-Atlantic Slave trade? 

How is slavery, that is described in the Bible, different from Chattel Slavery?  We will explore these differences too!!!
