So Dopey Joe gave his State of the Union speech last night. I confess to not watching much of it. Actually, I BRAG about not watching much of it. But--unfortunately--I HAVE watched some highlights, and I HAVE read some "reviews". Surprisingly, Yahoo!, which is as in-the-tank for Dopey Joe as you will find, was lukewarm.

While things keep going with Russia and it's invasion of Ukraine, there are some limited bright spots. Ukraine's President, Volodmyr Zelenskyy not only refuses to back down, or to leave, but he is acting almost as a descendant of the Sons of Liberty, refusing to back down or to leave. He is also distributing firearms to Ukrainians wishing to aid in the fight. We haven't seen that in the US since...well, the American Revolution.

In Sports, MLB has locked out players, and Commissioner Manfred has cancelled the first two series for each team, as owners and players can not reach a new agreement. Maybe THIS is the time to go with my revamped format for a split-by-the-All-Star-break season, and multiple in-season champions, to enable more teams a shot at the World Series.

In college basketball, both the Iowa Hawkeyes Men's and Women's teams are on somewhat of a roll, while the Top 10 remains largely unchanged since SEVEN of them lost last Saturday, thus, not much chance for upward movement. But with conference tournaments starting this week, and continuing into next week and the following weekend, we will start to see March Madness take shape.

Elsewhere, we have dopey podcast response from Dopey Joe, an arrest in the sports world--one of several, I'm sure-- and a very short review of what may be the dumbest, most disjointed movie I have ever seen. Or the first 15 minutes, anyway.

All this and more, 5:30p ET, Wednesday 3/2/22. Listen here, or call in to listen--or talk!--at (319)-527-6706
