With the first full week of college football starting up, maybe we can forget about DC, Afghanistan, Dopey Joe & la Dopey Nostra, and COVID b.s. for a little while? OK, probably not, but hey, college football is here!

First off, last week in the chatrrom, Holger said Nebraska would beat Illinois, and that he would be calling the show this week to get his apology for my pick--along with every other observant college football fan-of the Fighting illini to take it. And takie it, they did. The question becomes, will Holger still call?

Anyway, I'll be off to my daughter's wedding, so our own Vito Esposito will be sitting in, and he may be fielding some calls from a some unruly Hawkeye fans. Will Vito be able to keep them at bay?
