Yesterday we learned that President Trump had a conversation with Big Ten Commissioner Kevin Warren about getting Big Ten football back and running ASAP. While it may be wishful thinking to to see teams playing in September, the rumblings that we could see Big ten football in October, including being part of the College Football Playoff in December-January, are at least a glimmer of hope.

And this, my friends, is true "PoliSports"! I have been saying for weeks that the whole idea of cancelling football and all Fall sports was nothing short of an attempt to sway voters against President Trump's reelection. We've even seen a disgusting ad from QPJ Biden showing a flyover of empty Big Ten stadiums. Think QPJ is cognizant, yet alone cogent, enough to come up with THAT one? Not to mention B1G Presidents and Chancellors, as employees of state universities, would tend to flow toward a "liveral" strance, pollitically speaking. And Kevin Warren, who previously worked with semi-notorious Greenberg Traurig law firm, has been vocal in his push tfor voter registration among B1G athletes and pushing for "change".

Also, this Saturday marks the 48th anniversary of the Munich Massacre, the terrorist kidnap and murder of 11 members (6 coaches and 5 athletes) of the Israeli Olympic team by terrorist group Black September. It is still, in my opinion, one of the two or three most exemplary of the term "polisports". Which, by the way, is a term I made up myself! It is impossible for me to forget the incredible composure, professionalism, empathy and genuine emotion from the late, legendary Jim McKay while reporting throughout the event.

We'll discuss these things, along with news of the day and week, 6pm Eastern, Wednesday 9/2/2020. Please join in!
