Global Forum features D-Day Veteran, Bob Sales

Robert Luther "Bob" Sales Sr. enlisted in the National Guard at the age of 15, lying his way into the service. It was 1941, before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. Sales served in the Army’s Company B, 116th Infantry regiment, 29th Division. He told The News & Advance in 2011 he was the only one out of 30 men in his landing craft to survive D-Day in 1944...
