The details are raw and honest. The story is framed by a prologue and epilogue that comment on U.S. military detention operations, the War on Terror, and the plight of the Reservist in the Army. Maj. Granger is married, has five children, and is a public school district administrator living on Long Island, New York. He holds a B.S. degree in Education from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, AL, earned an M.A. degree in Curriculum and Teaching from Teachers College - Columbia University, New York, NY, and earned School District Administrator credentials from his studies at the State University of New York at Stony Brook.
